Better Cotton Initiative

At ELVINE, we are makers for the future, designing quality garments always with sustainability in mind — which is why we joined the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), the largest cotton sustainability programme in the world.

At ELVINE, we are makers for the future, designing quality garments always with sustainability in mind — which is why we joined the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI), the largest cotton sustainability programme in the world.

Yes, it’s big.

It means we’re part of a vast collection of industry stakeholders, from farmers and spinners, to brands and governments, who pledge to use cotton that safeguards the resources of our planet and the health of its people. The initiative works through a mass balance approach, meaning while BCI cotton can’t be traced directly to our garments, we’re part of a larger system where BCI farmers directly benefit from the demand we contribute.

Although our products may not contain BCI cotton themselves, we’re part of helping farmers and their communities on a local scale by implementing sustainable farming practices, improving workplace conditions, reducing gender inequality, and encouraging greater financial security.

We’re working to make sure 100% of our cotton is from sustainable sources by 2026, whether that’s through BCI cotton, recycled fabrics, Fairtrade cotton, or another practice. At ELVINE, we want our garments to last a lifetime, without using harmful production practices—so you can feel good knowing the brands you wear care.
